Even though it’s a dream to have a garage full of motorcycles.  The reality is that I have my favorite and usually end up riding that all the time.

For the longest time my favorite was my 96 Heritage Softail Classic that I have owned for about 8 years.  It’s comfortable and mean and really has been a sweet bike.  Now, it mostly sits in the garage not getting enough use.  I truly believe that a motorcycle ought to be ridden or the owner should sell it, that’s why I’m selling it.

This mortocycle has had a lot of performance work done on it and the entire top end is Screaming Eagle.  In other words it goes really fast.   I’ve been in the process of trimming it down so the bags aren’t on it anymore, but I have them.  They are not in the best of conditions but they are there.  There’s new rubber on the bike and maintenance is current.  This motorcycle is a sweet deal for anyone looking for a Harley Davidson.  I’m asking $8000 for it and we’ll see what the market thinks of that price.

Man. Sometimes running a website like Bikerwares can be a non-stop job.  Recently I just got a call from a pretty irrate customer that my contact form wasn’t working.  He wasn’t irrate about our service but due to the fact that the form wasn’t working.  He wanted to know how to replace the lenses on one of our interchangeable goggle kits and didn’t want to have to make a long distance call to find it.

Well, he’s somewhat happier now and the contact form is working again.  Matter of fact it’s even better because it has better security and protection against form spam.    It was quite a scramble to get it working but it’s up.  Now if I could just get the Prescription Sunglass Ordering Wizard up and running, maybe I could serve my customers even better.

Just recently the Road Riders for Jesus asked us to be a vendor at their Bike Show that will be held in Mt. Olive Illinois on Aug 30 2008. This bike show is a benefit show with all the proceeds to be split between the Mount Olive Care Center and the Pregnancy Resource Center of Litchfield. Both of these are great causes and fit right in line with the principles that we hold here at Bikerwares.
