I personally have found that they work better as goggles than sunglasses, but for short term, walking around use they work fine as sunglasses also.

As sunglasses the SG-1 from Wiley X feels a little loose flimsy.  I really wouldn’t recommend riding with them as sunglasses, unless you have a large head and so that they would fit snuggly on you.
