Motorcycles Are Everywhere!

I have long been an active advocate in Motorcycle Rights Organizations. For that reason when I started Bikerwares , I felt that part of the effort should be geared towards helping fight for the rights and safety of bikers. For that reason, Bikerwares has been a corporate sponsor of the Freedom of Road Riders (FORR), which is the MRO in Missouri, since the company was started.

Being a corporate sponsor I get a copy (actually several) of the monthly newsletter. This month there was an ad in the classified ads that struck me as a really good idea. The ad said:

Put the following message on your answering machine:

You have reached ___________. Look twice --- Save a Life --- Motorcycles are Everywhere! Leave a message after the tone and have a great day.

That's a great idea. FORR wants to get 3000 bikers in Missouri to set this message on their phone. I say why not start a nationwide grassroots movement? If one life can be saved as a result, it'll be worth it.

Think about it. The life you save might be yours!

Free Newsletters with Orders!

As I mentioned in the previous article I receive several copies of the Freedom Press which is the monthly newsletter of the Freedom of Road Riders (http://www.forr.net). I really can only read one, cause it gets pretty repetitive after that.

I've decided that the extra copies will go out to anyone that wants them when they place an order. Just tell me in the "Special Instructions" to include the newsletter and it's done (as long as I still have copies). There is no charge for this at all. It's just a way of carrying the message that bikers have rights too.

At Bikerwares, I feel that I have a responsibility to help other bikers become better riders. Part of this is due to the fact that I am also a MSF Certified RiderCoach. I feel that information is our best tool for becoming better riders and have started another website call Motorcycle Articles that will have articles about riding, product reviews, motorcycle mechanics, stories and any other articles that I find that I think will be of value to bikers.
